Introducing the Evolution of the National Hockey League. From the Montreal Canadiens in 1909 to the Utah Hockey Club in 2024, the artwork print captures the evolution of the League from 6 teams in 1926 to the 32 teams which exist today. Drawn entirely in colored pencil by artist Chandler Withington, the artwork features 60 logos, including many of the original vintage logos and logos of the past. The logos on the artwork are arranged chronologically to show when teams entered the league, as well as how teams have moved locations.
**The piece is intended to show how the existing 32 teams currently in the League came to be. It does not include franchises who no longer exist, E.g – The Brooklyn Americans, California Seals, Cleveland Barons or Arizona Coyotes. Because of ownership rights, certain other logos were unable to be used on this piece, E.g – The Atlanta Thrashers.**
